NFL Highest 1st Quarter Score

The Highest 1st quarter score in a NFL season game was this Monday Night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Red Skins. Michael Vick really showed off his Superstar abilities tonight. No, he is not the team and could not win without the team but it is because of his talent that he is able to execute the plays and send bombing throws down the field, which was over 300 yards and he ran twice to make two touchdown scores. Vick has an overall 105.3 passer rating. That's #1 in the NFL.

The very 1st play of the night he throws an 88 yard rocket ball pass down the field to Jackson and yes, it was a touchdown!! Next touchdown was run in by Vick with a superman dive into the end zone. Vick sends the next pass to McCoy and yep you got it TOUCHDOWN. OK So in case you are not keeping score that is 21-0…Hello Washington are you in this game tonight?? Then, Vick sends a pass to Jerome Harrison for a 55 yard run touchdown…Making the score 28-0 which made history as the highest 1st quarter score in NFL history!

Second quarter, Vick throws another precision ball to Maclin for a 48 yard touchdown. 35-0 is the score. Perhaps that’s what woke up Washington because oh my goodness they scored…Touchdown…what a great pass by McNabb. Then, again Washington scores a touchdown, Williams into the end zone what a power play…35-14 Washington finally show up to play ball. Just when you think Redskins had their momentum back Vick runs outside the pocket and into the end zone for another touchdown making the score 42-14. Then a field goal and the half time score is 45-14. WOW…

Third quarter, A great handoff to Williams for a touchdown. Score 45-21. Just when you think the Eagles have nothing further to prove this night…Vick continues to send power balls out and he finds Avant for another touchdown… Then again another TOUCHDOWN by the EAGLES an interception by Dimitri Patterson. That makes the game 59-21. What a awesome night for the Eagles even in the pouring rain. That’s it the end of the 3rd quarter.

Fourth quarter, was very slow and frankly I think all lost excitement in this game. It was so obvious who was going to win. Only one score during the fourth quarter and that was made by Williams of Washington. The Final score 59-28. This was the second highest score for the team in Green. They almost beat their highest score which was in 1934 where they scored 64 points.

What a night for Mr. Michael Vick the MVP for this game. It was absolutely amazing watching him in 100% focused precision mode. It was like watching Tiger Woods before he lost his focus. He was so methodical and precise in every play. What a testimony that shows you can fall down and make mistakes but, if you rely on Christ and is determined to make a change he can restore you to levels you can fathom. This is a great example of what God can do. Continue Success to Michael Vick!

Dallas Cowboys got their team spirit back.

Yep we got our football mojo back. 33-20 The Dallas Cowboys!!! It has been a long time coming this season. They ran the ball, they threw exceptionally well and the defense is playing fantastic. Dez Bryant our newest hot wide receiver executed plays with his vigorous vitality. He is surely a superstar and I am so excited that he is a part of the team. Jon Kitna the interim quarterback has really stepped up to the plate. According to Roy Williams (Safety) he said that Jon was as good as Tony Romo. Well statistically Romo is very impressive however; personally I will take both of them. We need players that are good at what they do and that want to win. Bryan Mcann intercepted the ball that was intended for Hakeem Nicks of the Giants and returned a 101 yard touchdown. Miles Austin our veteran walk on superstar wide receiver ran 24 yards for touchdown!!

Why did we haWas it coaching, or should I say the lack of that? According to Jerry Jones that was the case. I completely understand it was business not personal. I think what really didn’t set well with me was the interview that Coach Wade Allen Phillips said “I don’t know what to do, if I did I would be doing it..I just don’t know”. OK, when you have a leader that has lost his vision it is time to make changes. As a leader even when you don’t know exactly what to do you continue to believe, look for the best alternatives and of course motivate your TEAM!!!! Any who, Jason Garret is the new interim coach and I am one for giving others an opportunity. He called some very good plays, he was motivated and he exhibited a more positive spirit.

Even when there was a power failure because of the generator the Cowboys could not be defeated. The Giants did hold them tight but, that was not good enough to win the ball game. Way to go cowboys we are now 2-7 this year which, is not impressive and it won’t get us to the play offs or the Superbowl. This was not a great season but you know we can’t win them all. We are still the FIVE TIME SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONS!! HOW ABOUT THOSE COWBOYS??

Insure my hair for $1 million?

OK….Are you ready for some football? Yes, Lord I am….I can’t wait. Thursday September 9th was the official NFL kick off day! It has long been awaited and I will be so excited to see my “Dallas Cowboys” make it to the Superbowl. (Yes, I said it..Get ready Dallas Haters)

Here was an interesting story that I thought would be of interest to some since Sunday Sept 10th is the Pittsburg Steelers 1st official season game opener. The story actually broke about two weeks ago but I am sure that it will be news to some. Pittsburgh Steelers superstar Troy Polamalu hair was insured with Lloyd's of London for $1 million. Troy’s famed three-feet long hair (which is a tribute to his Samoan Heritage) is endorsed by the Head and Shoulders Company. Of course it was wise to endorse his beautiful hair because of his profession and the fact that some hateful players have tried to pull the man by the hair. OK..explain to me how that became a strategic football offensive play?

Let me give some of you a little back ground on the 29 year old Troy Polamalu #43 of the Pittsburg Steelers. (Six time World Champions)

Polamalu was drafted 16th overall in the first round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers and has remained faithful to the Steelers. The Steelers gave Polamalu  a $37.5 million contract with $20 million in guarantees which was the biggest contract in team history extending him through 2011. Polamalu said, "I did not want to be a player who is jumping from team to team. I've always felt comfortable here, I think this organization, this tradition they have here, is very legendary and I always wanted to be part of this." The four-year contract extension, worth just over $30 million with about $15 million in guarantees, made Polamalu one of the highest paid defensive backs in the league and the highest paid safety in the league. (What an example of contract negotiation!!)

Troy has developed into one of the NFL’s top safeties...was first-team All-Pro selection in 2005 and 2008...he has been selected to the past five Pro Bowls (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)...Troy is a ferocious hitter with excellent speed...assumed the starting strong safety position in 2004...recipient of the 2003 Joe Greene Award, given to the team’s top rookie..He was named to the Steelers’ 75th Season All-Time Team during the 2007 season...signed a five-year contract during the 2007 offseason to keep him with the team through 2011. Hats of to you Polamalu!!

Are you ready for some "Football"!!

More to come with exciting team action, information and understanding........

PEACE

FIFA World cup 2010- in South Africia

South Africa's success is a defining story, the Rainbow Nation putting on a show of pride and purpose that gave a message of hope to an entire continent. South Africa spents $6 billion to host the World cup. This was Africa’s first FIFA world cup and it will live in the memory of all. To feel the spirit and to see the smiles of the people gave you warmth and you find yourself being truly proud of South Africa for hosting this successful event.

Who won the 2010 world cup?

1st Place Spain

2nd place netherlands

3rd place german

Spain team was the gold winners 1-0 final victory. This was the first World Cup for Spain who achieved the title when Andres Iniesta's 116th-minute winner against the Netherlands put them into the record books as the eighth country to capture football's most prized crown. (Soccer is also called football) Spain's concluding triumph in the magnificent 'calabash' of Soccer City brought the curtain down on 31 days of football: 64 games at nine venues featuring 599 players from 32 teams who between them scored 145 goals. Contratulations to Spain for a well deserved victory!

The 2014 FIFA World Cup-This evening at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, the Official Emblem for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil was unveiled in the presence of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Brazil 2014 Organising Committee and FIFA Executive Committee member Ricardo Teixeira, FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter as well as former Seleção players Cafu, Carlos Alberto Torres, Romario and 1994 FIFA World Cup winning coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.

Soccer-Association football (commonly known as football or soccer) is a sport played between two teams of eleven players each, using a spherical ball. It is the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field of grass or green artificial turf, with a goal in the centre of each of the short ends. The object of the game is to score by driving the ball into the opposing goal. In general play, the goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with their hands or arms, while the field players typically use their feet to kick the ball into position, occasionally using their torso or head to intercept a ball in midair. The team that scores the most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is tied at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time and/or a penalty shootout, depending on the format of the competition.

NBA’S BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

7/1/2010 at 12:01 AM Labron James becomes a Free Agent.

Today 7/8/2010- Labron James announces that he will play for “Miami Heat” with a price tag of approx $91.6 million. According to Labron James this choice he made was the right choice for him and his family. It was a sacrifice however; he felt he had to go to the team that would enhance his chance to winning a championship.

Who is Labron?

Labron Raymone James aka “King James”, born December 30, 1984. He is known as a basketball superstar with an awesome career. When he was 18 years old after high school he skipped college and was drafted with the number one pick in the 2003 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

During his seven year NBA career some of his accomplishments include:

• During his rookie year an all record season high becoming the youngest player in the leagues history to score 40 points in a game.

• 2005-06 Season he became the youngest All Star MVP at 21 years old.

• 2009-10 Season he won the MVP for the second time in his career making him the tenth NBA Player in history to accomplish this goal.

This decision is very upsetting to the Cavalier Fans because he was a leader on their team. They showed some fans burning his jerseys (which is very tacky and immature act). Yes, I can understand the disappointment but surely I know they did not expect him to stay with the Cavaliers forever. Move on Cleveland there are other great players. Then, Miami is celebrating because they realize that Labron can enhance their team and possibly get them to the championship. However, once they get there I hope they realize that it will take more than Labron to enhance their team to beat my sixteen time World Championship LOS ANGELES LAKERS!

Congratulations to Labron James and I am a believer that you have to do what is right for you and the family!

Wimbledon 2010: Tennis Serena Williams overpowers Vera Zvonareva

Yea Serena has done it again! The Wimbledon 2010 women’s Champion. She amazed all with her 120 mph serves and in these Championships she hit 89 aces, beating her previous record by 17. Martina Navraltilova said that Serena’s serve is the greatest in the history of women’s tennis. The backhand went past Zvonareva with stunning power her serve just exterminated the Russian. Sorry Zvonareva this was not your time.
